your most frequent questions
These are indeed original works deposited in our gallery by selected artists. No reproductions or multiple prints, but truly unique canvases.
At Art Génération, we give you a three-month cooling-off period. This gives you time to find the best place for your canvas in your home. If you realize that the painting doesn't fit in your interior, you can return it to us in exchange for a credit note that you can use when you find the perfect canvas, the one that will fit perfectly in your home.
Of course! We work with carriers that allow us to deliver to our customers all over the world. If you live in Paris and the close suburbs, we can even arrange personalized deliveries on the day and at the time that suits you. The artworks are packed in specific crates and arrive in perfect condition at their destination. All you have to do is hang it on the wall once you receive it.
The price of the artworks is set by the artist. It represents their market value and thus the value of their work. Consequently, we cannot negotiate prices. However, you have the option to pay in installments if you wish. Depending on the price of the artwork, we will discuss together how to schedule the payments.
Rest assured, the two-month exchange period is already a safeguard. Your friend will be able to easily return the painting you bought for them. Furthermore, if you are unsure about choosing a painting, you can opt for a gift voucher of the amount of your choice. This has no expiry date, so your friend can take their time to decide.
The sole selection criterion for our artists is the quality of their work. They therefore all have different backgrounds and different training. The profiles we represent range from emerging young artists with few exhibitions to their credit, to established artists whose work is traded in auction houses. To help you know the artist whose work you are purchasing, we provide informative fact sheets, available in the gallery and on our website.
If you wish, you can leave us your email address to receive an alert as soon as we receive new canvases from this artist. In addition, you will receive invitations to exhibition openings, which will allow you to meet your favorite artists.
The paintings visible on the website are, of course, available in the gallery. Don't forget to check the exhibition location specified next to each artwork. Some are exhibited in Paris, others in Lyon. We provide the opening hours for both galleries, and you will notice, for example, that the Marais gallery in Paris is open every day.
That's right, with one click you can acquire a painting, a photograph, or a drawing. Buying artwork online is a new phenomenon in the cultural landscape and can sometimes be daunting. Have no fear regarding online payment, it is perfectly secure. Payment by check is also possible; simply specify this when placing your order. You will receive an email asking you to notify us of the date your check will be sent. If you are still hesitant or need to see the artwork in person to appreciate the artist's work, you can request a gallery pick-up, which will allow you the option to cancel your purchase.
That's absolutely right, art photographs are not unique prints. According to French law, we are limited to 30 copies per photograph, across all sizes and media. As sales progress, we re-issue a photograph, which will be assigned a new print number. Behind the photographs displayed in the stands, you will notice that we insert a certificate clearly stating the photograph's number, the artist's name, and the size.
Technically, it is a print on photographic paper which is then thermally bonded to a 2mm aluminum plate. With this process, there's no need for framing; you can attach your photograph directly to the wall. We provide adhesive hangers, but you can also choose an optional wooden frame glued to the back of the aluminum plate, which will allow you to hang your photograph on a nail. Finally, there is another system, called Diasec. The photograph is chemically bonded to the back of a plexiglass plate, which protects it from any shock and deterioration. Like the mounting on an aluminum plate, you can attach your plexiglass plate to the wall using adhesive hangers or a wooden frame.
